Snow at Nygårdsbroen

Maybe it is difficult to see, but the wearther was really bad. the only way to take a picture without having snow on the lens, was under the bridge. Fortunatelly this also gave a nice framing.

Electric sun

When I took this picture the other day I got like a flashback to Olafur Eliasson's "The weather project", which I saw at Tate Moder, close to eight years ago:

More photos in the blog following the building of Bergen University College at Kronstad.

Foggy

I really can't explain why, but I do like this picture. Maybe it is because of the light. It becomes completely different, because of the fog. The scene that I pass every day, change into something less familiar.

The island

The high tide made these stones become a small island.

They have an interesting story. The stones were uased as ballast, and came by sailships (I guess) that left Bergen with fish and other goods of trade.

Who knows where these stones once came from. Maybe form the Baltic, or the Mediterranean Sea...

Stencil in Nygårdsgaten

This one reminds me of a stencil outside the apartment i Chorinerstrasse, in Berlin five years ago.

Not the same thing at all, but connecting the wall and the signpost:

The World's best bar

At least Zly Casy have magnificent beer

With 24 beers on tap, and an up-beat but still traditional Czech pub atmosphere, Zly Casy is the perfect place to try some fantastic Czech beer. Serving a large variety, you’ll be able to try everything from classic Czech lagers, (from breweries like Jezek, Zlata Labut, and Cerna Hora), to dark beers, wheat beers, the newest Czech beer category- ales.

Osbanen

This was once the railway towards Nestun, the first part of Bergenbanen. Today the rails are new, but they are no longer used by trains. This is where the tram changes tracks, in front of the garage.
